Those are most likely a JC Whitney type accessory.

I had someone share with me privately that the window vent shade pictured is a home-made version. He remembered a guy producing them a few years ago. It appears that the early AD trucks did not have an option other than the now very rare and expensive Fulton side shields.
Wow - Bet those are about as rare as hens teeth as Jerry (HRL) would say! Your friend might grab a pair of those that Otto posted about above. He could modify/trim them up to try and get close to what you showed in the original picture.
