Working on my 1ton panel, the frame and steering box are from a ‘51 one ton. The steering box shaft was cut (not really a big deal) question is does anybody work on these that can make sure it’s still good and or will a 1/2 ton steering box fit the 1 ton frame if mine is not good or repairable.. thanks joe

According to the service manual and parts book the steering boxes are the same from 1/2 ton up thru 1-1/2 ton trucks.
