The truck that I have been working on for years has a cab that would need to many hours to fix. Atleast that's what the body shop says. They said look for another cab. So I found a 1942 1 .5 ton cab all the body work is done on cab fenders and doors and it is painted. There is also a parts truck totally disassemble. Both trucks are totally disassemble . My question is any I dea of what I should pay. The lady's husband died and she wants to sell everything together. I really only want the 1. It's 5 hours from my house. And like most people she says how much he had in it. But when they are in prices in 2 different locations you never get all the stuff. Any comments are appreciated so tell me your thoughts

Sounds like you're looking at a basket case. So you've got to think about how much space you have to store the stuff, how much of it you need/will use, and how much time you'll want to devote to selling off the remainder. Which depending on what you get, could be a quite valuable enterprise.

Sounds like there's enough there to build up a whole 'nother truck, if you felt like it.

So i went and looked at this thing the paint work on cab is 6 out 10 body work is 5 out 10 the other cab is rusted to death. There was a1.5 ton truck and a pickup.not enough to make 1 truck. The 1.5 ton dose not have a frame there’s a frame there and they say it’s for the 1.5 but its a pickup frame. Lots of things missing only 2 of 6 wheels. Stuff scattered in 5 different buildings on 2 different properties.and the best part is her friend told them don’t sell it for less than 15000 yes thats 3 zeros as i was driving home i was thinking of all the stuff I didn’t see . And i thought it would cost a small fortune to buy all that stuff.
