My 56 3100 truck has a 12 volt generator. It had a voltmeter in it below the dash that showed good voltage when i got it. But in the old cluster only the fuel and oil guage worked so I replace the cluster with a new one and removed the under dash instruments. The new ammeter always shows below the middle mark on the the new guage indicating low charging. It's caused no problems and I've gotten no indication that there is low charging going on. I'd like it to show an accurate reading. Anything I can do to fix it?

Is the new cluster wired correctly according to the factory wiring diagram?

Thanks for the directions. I will have to take a look. I didn’t do the installation.
