I purchased this truck on eBay in 2015. It has a rebuilt 350, rebuilt TH350 (that leaks), and 10 bolt differential/55T (I think).
I don’t have the talent to do a frame off restoration so I’ve been gradually making improvements and moving toward repainting myself. Over the past nine years (amazing how our bodies age between 63 and 72), I hired the installation of A/C, P.S., tilt steering column, and finishing exhaust out the rear.
I’ve personally added Rebel wiring harness, bench seat, interior sun visors, passenger side mirror, LED lights, backup lights with manual switch, wiper washer with manual switch, and interior floor lighting with manual switch.
In process of adding small inline electric fuel pump to prime carburetor with manual ”momentary” switch.
This year (2024) I assembled a portable garage to use as my sanding/painting booth. I recently completed stripping and painting bumpers, grill, and tailgate. Next is rear fenders and box if the weather returns to mid 60’s or better.

I got the box done before it got too cold to paint. Has its flaws, like some orange peel in areas, but I might do some finish sanding and buffing next year after I get the main body painted. Not my preferred disassemble and reassemble steps to a full paint job but, Lord willing, I’ll git ‘er done. I’m happy with it considering I’ve never done this before. I’ve teased my 4 sons that there’s a bunch of new toys for them to inherit. It gives me opportunities also to spend time with family. My 16 year old granddaughter helped me remove the fenders and my 75 year old sister helped me put them back on.
