I'm curious about what was originally used to fasten these to the doors. It may have been sheet metal screws, or sheet metal screws with cup washers, or some sort of push in pins. THANKS

But I think Chevy went to sheet metal screws in 53 or maybe 52. Still with the cup washers. I think Carl52 posted about that.

Earlier years used small straight thread screws with chrome bezel washers.
