Not sure if this is the proper forum ,but I have a question on a 1957 GMC gauge panel. Does anyone know the proper color that was used on the gmc dash cluster. Thank you. Dave

I searched and searched for that same answer for my Chevy AD gauges. No one had the code. I put in modern electronic pods for the engine monitoring. I changed out the speedo pod to a 90mph and finally took that face to the paint shop and they matched it for a very close to factory.
My suggestion is do you have a good original color spot somewhere that they can use to match and put it into a rattle can. Some need a couple of inches to use the camera, but some skilled mixologists can get it from a very small spot....including any metallic properties. Sadly my pro retired at the beginning of covid.

From what I can tell on my '51 Chevy, the gauge faces were the same color as the interior. I bought a rebuilt Speedo from Jim Carter and they used their interior color on it, which is slightly darker than what was on my dash originally. When I repainted the interior, I bought their paint and had it lightened to match more closely with the original color on some of the concealed parts. The speedo is slightly darker than the original gauge face. I would suggest that the gauge faces would be the same color as the interior on the GMC, whatever that might be.

I'm pretty sure all the small truck '57 GMC gauges were a flat black with off-white lettering. Here is a picture of my '57 dash. The oil pressure gauge and ammeter are from a larger GMC of the same era and the tach is a re-faced Sun SuperTach II running in 4 cylinder mode so full sweep on my 347" V8 was at 4,000 RPM. The stock gauges have a green, clear plastic lens inside to make the gauge markings appear green at night with the dash lights on. The smaller truck oil pressure gauge was a 90 degree sweep. The ammeter position in the dash had a typical red "idiot light" indicating generator wasn't charging instead of the meter I put in.

'57 GMC 102, Original 347 V8, HydraMatic, 3.08 rear gear, added A/C, disk front brakes, HEI, AFB carb, '98 Honda Black Currant paint. T-boned and totaled 10/12 '52 GMC 152 Stake Bed, Original 228, SM420, added A/C, HEI, disk front brakes, '67 Chev 3.55 rear gear. Gets used as a real truck.
