Both USNA and USAFA have NCAA Division I varsity water polo programs. This week, Navy and Air Force water polo teams are tied #20 in the national NCAA rankings. Water Polo is a Fall sport, just like Football.

Navy beat Air Force in water polo on the road at USAFA two weeks ago, 19-18 (OT).

Good point, Ol '55!

I had a friend/classmate who played water polo. Its a very grueling sport that demands a high level of strength, stamina and conditioning. I was exposed to it in PE class at Navy and it kicked my butt. Two people you don't pick a fight with -- rugby players and water polo players!

One of my senior year roommates was a gymnast. He could do the "Iron Cross" all day long. Come to think of it, I wouldn't pick a fight with him, either...

I started out on the rowing team and switched to off-shore sailing (racing). wink

Especially from the horses that the spectators never see. They hold their breath the whole game.
