In mocking up the front end, I have come to the conclusion that most of the world is held together with 5/16-18 bolts. Looking at the 4 holes in the outer side cowl, where the front fender attaches to the side cowl, it appears that the holes might require a bolt larger that 5/16. So the question is... what size bolts are recommended or required for attaching the fender to the side cowl? Thanks
Yes, it seems that the world is held together by 5/16-18 bolts. That includes the fender to cowl attachment. The holes are larger to allow some adjustment. If you try to use larger bolts, you'll likely find that most of them won't line up.

5/16" bolts with fender warshers. The holes in the fender and cowl are extra big for wiggle room for alignment purposes. (That's right, I said warshers.) To clarify, fender warshers are at least an inch outside diameter and 5/16" inside diameter.
