Is the spare tire fender on a long bed stepside the same size as on the short bed stepside? I'm looking at a used one that the seller only lists by years it fits 55-59.

No the step is bigger on a LWB

But doesn't that just push the fender further back? I assume the frame is longer.

I think the original question was the size of the fender, not the step.

There are 3 left side rear fenders for the 55-59 step side trucks;

Standard - no spare cutout.

Short bed - with cutout for the spare.

Long bed - with cutout for the spare.

All three fenders are the same physical size. The difference between the two spare tire fenders is the size of the tire pocket (long bed is smaller then the short bed).
