Saw handle on door comments in a here in a Project Journal thread. I did not want to pirate the thread,
This is a VW dash handle installed above the glovebox on Hank (46), pull the fiber glovebox to access bolts
Wife loves it, I use it too to haul my butt in as well …
Yes it’s new holes in the dash…. next owners issue not mine.

Appreciate the separate post and I moved it to Interiors for best exposure. It took me awhile to find the handle tho. Same color as the dash! Maybe someone can circle it for you.

So that handle will hold your weight? Any details? What is it connected to for umph?

It's interesting, the handle is a stiff but flexible material yet it is tough and stiff enough for my 180 lb ++ carcass to feel secure yanking on it. I liked the molded linear grip lines which go well in the art deco truck. Fender washers from behind is all I used for support, that curved metal is pretty tough.
