Recent trip to Norway, Museum display suggests source for ‘36 GMC grille! OPEL truck. Also has 18” drop center 18” wheels, bolt pattern looks like 6 on 7.25”, used by GM through 1947 one ton trucks.

Ed, can you give us a little more detail? You were in Norway, the country? What museum? An Opel truck ... same year or others? This could be great news!

I suppose if you live in Europe that would be a good vehicle to look for if you needed a grill for a GMC. The likelihood of finding one in the USA is slim and none.

Haugesund, Kings Museum. Attendant knew nothing, couldn’t see engine. Opels appear smaller than our trucks, I am sure no parts are interchangeable. Museum has lots of WWII artifacts, history.

A kid raised on Hotwheels, Matchbox and Tonka cannot be reasonably expected to own only one vehicle as an adult.
