Hey, all, with my other projects going I am simply not getting to the rebuild of my Carter carburetor on my 49 three-quarter ton with a 216. Any recommendations on rebuilders that you have used?

I have used Daytona Parts Co a half dozen or more times or more over the past 25 years and have been extremely satisfied with the results. Everything from Q-Jets to Carter WCFB to Holly 4 bbls.

I recently rebuilt my Carter YF with a kit from Jon H (Carbking - The Carburetor Shop) and it was easy and fun. 8000 miles later its still going strong. It was the easiest repair on this truck to date. It didn't take long, either.

Carburetor parts and total rebuilds.

An alternative rebuilder would be Carburetor Specialist in Alpharetta, Georgia.

The 1949 Carter is a one year, one make, one model unit; and the accelerator pump is unique.

I used Carburetor Specialist in Alpharetta,Georgia. On a 2100s Carter Did a Great Job. They were recommended by carbking.

Turn around time about a week.
He's a great guy!
