I went to my local Auto Body Supply and was floored when he quoted $360 for a gallon. Stated that the prices jumped big time when they changed the formula to comply with new VOC regulations. I looked on line and it looks like $200 would be more in line for a gallon.
Do any of my fellow ‘Bolters have any recommendations?
I’m also looking recommendations for body filler.

As for body filler, it is expensive but I use Evercoat Easy Sand (think it is part number 421). Last catalyzed primer I got was something like $210 a gallon...last lacquer primer was maybe $180 a gallon. Cut the lacquer 1.25 thinner to 1 part primer in the summer and a nozzle of around 2mm. Good luck.

Their paint is manufactured by Martin Senour. I think it cost me a touch over $200 for a gallon with the hardener. I believe it’s a low VOC product.

A 2 gallon kit of primer and catalyst for $230, plus shipping and tax. I had a 10% discount code which totaled out to $250.
I’m picking up some of my sandblasted parts tomorrow so we’ll see how it goes.
