Question regarding installing new wheel studs
About to install new axle shafts and need to know proper way to install the studs pound them in with a hammer or use an impact gun? First time doing this job.

Lisle 22800 Wheel Stud Installer. I got one these and it was slick as a whistle. Made the job simple and easy.

I second the Lisle wheel stud installer. I just used a common wrench, a bit of grease and some oomph. I see they're a lot more expensive today, though.

I use a ball joint press. It has a variety of adapters, and all the force is applied to the splined base of the stud- - - -NOT the threads.

I use an air hammer as long as you can get to the backside. If the axle is in the housing then I use a stud installer.
