My 1966 c10 was upgraded to a Hyd throw out. I reused the original pedal and pivot points.

I took all the linkages off the right side of the shaft down through the floor. Now there is nothing holding the shaft in place and it will walk its way to the left and eventually interfere with proper clutch movement cause the right side of the shaft drops out of the hole.

Anyone else have this issue?

try using a heater hose clamp or two around the pivot shaft to keep it from moving, or maybe a shaft collar secured with an allen set screw. They're available in all sizes on Ebay.

are you using a hydraulic throw-out bearing or just the clutch master/slave? Here is a pedal assembly I bought for my 53 3100.

Do you have a picture of your setup? All of the ones I am familiar with have a retaining collar.

You could use a hose clamp like Jerry suggested, or if you wanted something a little fancier/nicer you could get a collar stop from McMaster Carr.

Looks like McMaster calls them "clamp collars".

Would have not thought of a collar like that in a millions years. I was thinking of cutting the linkage apart and putting part of it back on.

Collar is a much better idea. Glad I asked.

Also keep in mind that you can put the collar anywhere that it will keep the shaft in the right spot. It doesn't need to be at the end.

The 2 piece collar in my Ebay link can be installed without any disassembly. I use them frequently on shop projects on the "Rube Goldberg" specialty machining jigs I make.

Threw a hose clamp on it while a collar is on the way. Got me to a couple car shows this weekend without it falling out. Can't thank you guys enough for this simple duh moment.
