Rebuilding a 1950 3100 stock. My window crank on the drivers (left) side will not roll up all the way. It would not close up at the top right curve on the window. Replaced with another crank/regulator and it was even worse. It would stop about an inch from being completely up.
Notice the right roller arm which holds the track that the window mounts to was bent a little downward so straighten and even tried to add a little bend the opposite and that helped slightly.
Totally lost at this time. Any suggestions?

BTW if I'm on the wrong page for posting this someone please direct me where to go.

Curtis Lee - Your door window question will get the best on topic replies and help in the Doors forum in the “Paint and Body Shop”, so it’s been moved there for further conversation and help.

Other Bolters should be along soon to offer some help. smile

Believe I got it fix.
Made the adjustment holes that are slotted a little longer by elongating them at the top. This is where the "elbow" of the riser app rotates on a three-point mount.
I enlarged the holes for the crank app and raised it slightly.
When placing the window (framed) on its mounting track I pried it up while tightening the screws giving me a little more lift.
But there is little one can do for the wear and tear of a 70-year-old mechanism, but I did peen the rivets on the joints tightening them a little.

Hopes this helps someone.
Thanks
