We have to pull out the Driveline question about power steering. The quote here is the one about air conditioning and it goes in Interiors.
How about same question for adding A/C. Want to add a/c to same panel truck -- a 1948 Chevy with a 1951 firewall welded in. All I want to know is what kit might be the right/best option to buy and use…joe What year AD truck? It makes a difference for the AC systems. Edit: looks like it doesn't actually matter for the Old Air Products system. I have done Vintage Air and Old Air Products before and I was much happier with both the quality of the parts and the customer service from OAP. Old Air Products Custom System

One being ease of installation, two being efficiency and design (I sort of wonder if others are not just a copy of the OAP work) and three being customer service.

It appears to me that Classic Auto Air copies Old Air Products, then makes a couple small changes to avoid being sued. They come out with new product lines about 6 months after OAP does.
That said, one of my friends put a CAA system in his squarebody and was super happy with it. So your mileage may vary.
