Where they considered accessories or were they included in the price of a new truck? | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 1,186 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 1,186 | this is the jack that was in my 1954 2 ton. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 720 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 720 | You can still get the lug wrench and breaker par that came with them at Napa. Mine still has the one that came with the truck, but it is identical to the one at the store. You'll just need a solid 5# hammer &/or a piece of heavy wall pipe to get the oomph! behind it to loosen properly torqued wheels (I had to take mine, hubs, drums, and all to local tire shop to get them off).
The ratcheting screw jack that 55 shows can be found here & there in junk shops. Have seen a couple myself, they are solid units. Anyone know if they are still in production? I'd rather have one of these in my rig than a hydraulic jack if I can find one. 1956 GMC 370 dump " 'Tater "1970 VW Volksrod "the Black Bomber" 2007 Chevy Avalanche 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, 2005 Harley Davidson FLHTCUI I dig all cars, old and new, whether they were hammered out of American iron, German steel, or Japanese tin cans. One end is hexagonal for the nuts, the other is 3/4" square for the lug on the inside dual. My truck has 3/4" lug nuts, and it appears that Napa does not make those wrenches in 3/4". Should my truck have different size nuts? Or? The one shown in the above post is for Big Bolts with dual rear wheels and double lug nuts. The inner nut has a square shank, about 7/8" or so square, and the outer nut that screws over it has a 1 1/2" wrench size. Jerry
