Getting the snake wire up thru the A pillar was a no go and I tried all kinds of wire, even weed eater cord. Finally saw an old thread and a fellow Stovebolter said he used a coat hanger. I thought no way that can work. It's too stiff. It can't make those turns. But I was desperate so I gave it a try. Ta-Da, took about 10 minutes. Most of that time was getting a hanger and getting it ready. My new radio is scheduled to arrive Monday.

Mickey, Glad to see you had success with the speaker wire install! Since you are awaiting the radio delivery to the story, I've moved your post (with a teeny title edit) over to the Radio Bench forum in the Electrical Bay. That way you can continue your report on the radio install and we can see how things turned out in the best on-topic forum. Looking forward to seeing and reading more!

The radio arrived and I got it installed and playing. It sounds just fine. I only encountered two issues. One was the fuse panel. There is one there but it appears to do nothing. There are only two wires going to it but there is no power there at all. The second issues was a disaster and is visible. Look at the dash just to the right of the dash instruments. I didn't even notice it until a couple of days later and remembered dropping the speaker during the install. BTW I'd HIGHLY recommend removing the seat if you're going to be working under the dash. It'll also give you a chance to put down some insulation on the floorboard (entire floor is covered)
