I'm looking to see what the fitting size is on the back of the oil pressure gauge on my 54'. Mine was missing. I put a 350 in but I'm still utilizing my original gauges. I purchased a new 1/8" copper tubing kit from Bosch. I have the 1/8" NPT male in the kit for the block but I'm struggling with the proper fitting for the gauge for the copper tube to fit in to. In the kit they supplied 1/8" NPT female fitting. It appears the gauge fitting might be a 5/16-24 male. In looking at different kits some appear to just have standard fittings where some have what looks to be a specialized fitting for the 1/8" tube for the gauge. Not sure if that piece is needed or not based on the "kits" between vendors specified for the truck. Any information on this fitting or if I should just buy an entire proper kit are welcomed. Thanks

If you have a NAPA auto parts or older type auto parts you should be able to find the fitting. Possibly one of the major auto parts chain stores could have it in a tubing/fitting kit. Summit Racing has one for 47-70's Chevy truck oil pressure gauge kit.

It's been moved there for further help and info.

I like going to NAPA but there’s 4 other chain stores before I get there. So I normally grab it from one of those others. I just decided to buy the kit from NAPA. Picking it up tomorrow as they didn’t have it in stock.
Update…. Wrong part. But it looks like I can get it from one of the online vendors.
