This is the Information packet I received form Dave Hoque:

Hello and thanks for your pre-registration.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN TOWSEND: Most of you are familiar with Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and the many thousands of attractions they offer. Townsend is much quieter, and we enjoy the Little River that runs through town, the bike and walking trails, fly fishing, tubing, and the National Park. I have attached a map of Townsend that will help you get around at first. Everyone is very friendly in this town so don’t hesitate to stop and ask someone about anything. (Like before we had cell phones)

THURSDAY EVENT: We will be meeting at The Townsend Abbey, 7765 River Rd. Townsend, TN 37882 and welcome the Southbound & Down event to town around 5PM.Special parking on the grass. Once all gathered, we will go on our around town cruise starting around 7PM. The cruise is not that long and we should end up back at the Abbey for a time of fellowship and a meal if your interested.

FRIDAY DAY GET TOGETHER: Talley Ho Inn, 8314 State Highway 73, Townsend, TN 37882. Registration will open at 9am and will stay open until we leave for the PSS event. Overnight parking will not be permitted so any 10x10’s set up will have to be taken down for the final parking set up in the morning. You will be parked by our team “drive in movie style” facing the HQ tent. Our restrooms and one of the Food Trucks will be on site. This is a great time to meet new folks and see some of your Truck family.

FRIDAY CRUISE & CRUISE IN: This will be at The Peacefulside Social 7967 E Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Townsend, TN. 37882. Special parking will start at 2PM. Look for the AD truck sign around 118 Town Square Dr. Our cruise will leave at 4pm (TBA) and we will return around 5:30. PSS will stay open until 8pm and all are encouraged to hang out and fellowship.

SATURDAY SHOW VENUE: Talley Ho Inn, 8314 State Highway 73, Townsend, TN 37882. They have graciously offered their show facility for our fund-raising event at no cost. Since this is a non-profit show, please bring cash. We are not set up to take credit cards this year. There are a few banks on the main drag if you forget. The attached map shows the show entrance and entrance for trailer parking.

SATURDAY SHOW HQ: The gates will open at 8AM. Food trucks will be onsite for meals. Once you get in the facility and parked head over to Show HQ (white 10x20 canopy). You will receive your truck number, welcome bag, and shirts there. If you are bringing a trailer, please let me know so we can get that tucked away in trailer parking. As with any outdoor show, I would suggest throwing in a 10x10 Canopy & portable chairs. I picked one up at a show a few years ago and use it constantly.

SATURDAY AFTER SHOW CRUISE: We will leave from the Talley Ho Inn show grounds after the awards ceremony and photos. Our goal is to leave the grounds at 4:30pm and cruise the “River Run” to the Sugarland Visitors center. I would fill up prior to the show. This cruise is around 45 minutes one way.

AWARDS: The judging system for the SMN's Best of Show, People’s Choice and the Top Ten is 100% chosen by those that are entered in the show. You will receive a judging form in your welcome bag/registration desk and we asked to return it by noon. Please take your time and make your selections carefully. The Awards Ceremony will be at the “Smoky Mountain Nationals” stage across from the Show HQ at 2pm. Bring your portable chairs. Our “BIG” raffle will start the festivities.

CHARITIES: The Hearts & Hands Scholarship fund will be receiving the show proceeds this year. We are happy and proud to invest in the area’s youth that aspire to further their education. This fund was established in 1994 to award scholarships to Townsend, Tennessee residents attending regionally accredited colleges or vocational schools. To date over 330,000 dollars has been awarded.

SOCIAL MEDIA: We are constantly adding media content and show info to our Facebook group page, SMOKY MOUNTAIN NATIONALS. Visit that page for the most current and up to date info. Please subscribe to our new YouTube channel and follow along with the videos.
From my family to yours: hope your travels are safe and enjoyable. We will see you all soon in Townsend, TN at the SMOKY MOUNTIAN NATIONALS!

Dave/Family & Team

PLEASE REMEMBER: This is a family show that is also a proceed/charity show. We are doing our best to raise money around the hobby we all love. Our SMN’s team is all volunteer and we ask that you extend common courtesies to them as they direct you during the show. All trucks on the property are asked to be in good taste, with non offensive icon’s or decals. No flags will be flown from vehicles during any of the cruises and or any of the show events mostly for photographic advantage. We have a strict “NO” burnout and no excessive speed rule. No literature will be handed out to any truck owners without consent from the SMN’s team and HQ. We are on private property so “no-golf cart” rules are enforced. Handicapped parking areas are marked and very close to the show grounds if needed. If we can assist in any way please contact us.

Vicki and I plan on heading east Wednesday morning, stopping off at JW51’s house to drop of some AD parts, eat a late lunch at the Pilot House, then on to Paducah, KY and spend the night. Should be in Townsend Thursday, mid afternoon. Vicki should still have some cookies stashed away to share if I don’t find out where she hid them from me. Staying at the Highland Manor and keeping the cookies locked up and safe from Alvin and Craig.
Will not have an old truck this time as we plan on taking a slow sight seeing tour on the way home, driving a red Tacoma with a camper shell.

Is making a promise to Archie like a threat of bodily harm?
My Linda and I are planning on an arrival date of Thursday, May 30. We will be a small convoy with our RV and towed car, along with Jerry, Hot Rod Lincoln, in his van and towing a trailer with my '46 Texaco pickup.
In looking at the enclosed maps while there is no Stovebolt Group area designated, one would assume that we will be at the end of the AD truck show area like last year. Our 10 x 10 canopies will have to come down on Friday night to allow for a parking adjustment? Will we plan on meeting Thursday pm at the Abby?

I sent Dave a message to discuss this year's layout. I'm sure the with all of non AD Trucks he will allow us an area similar to last year. I was thinking we would all meet up like we did last year, we all seemed to enjoy the Trout and Steak restaurant.

I will have the "Stovebolt" canopy and another that can be set up. Are you promoting your Book again at the show?

I will have my 10 x 10 and I will be promoting my book until I die, it is a passion with me. I have sold over 1100 copies and have covered the publishing costs. Proud of my "Best Seller" designation on Amazon in the category of Automotive History. I will also bring my Stovebolt flag.

I'm planning on arriving at the Townsend Abbey for around the 5 o'clock mark on Thursday.

I'll be travelling solo should anyone between Toronto Ontario and Tennessee need a ride. Be crossing in Buffalo.
