While going through the guide to adjust the hood I noticed when I got to the hood springs the bolts just didn't seem to sit flush. I did widen out the hood slightly to remove a bow by adding washers to the rear hood support and that helped only slightly. I did slightly bend the springs to help as well but not sure if I am missing something significant here. Thank you.
Are you sure the shoulder of the bolt is thru the arm?

Sorry fuzzy pic..I can get it to go in all the way but it starts to pull the spring from straight up and down to more outward and then the gap between the spring arm and the bolt head stays the same distance you see in the pic leaving a lot of play. This is before I ever tighten the lower spring bolts. thanks again
The spring link doesn't really do anything to locate the hood side to side. If the hinge arm bolts are fairly close, you'll probably be OK the way it is.
