Anyone weld two nuts on the backside of the plate so when you have to change the pump in the future you don’t have to take the plate off with the water pump to get at the back nuts without them falling inside.I was reading Phak1 project journal and he also had some leakage from the bolts .Here is phak1 picture of the bolts I am referring to.

Kevin, I reversed the bolts so there would be only one leak path, just the bolt head vs head and threads. The plate is fairly thin so I would be concerned about warpage if you welded the nuts on.

Good idea that way the nut won’t fall in the water jacket also .
