The MBA Roundup Executive Committee held the first meeting today for this year's 2nd Annual MBA Roundup and we are pleased to announce our main event is scheduled for Saturday, September 14th, 2024 - Start time - See Below. Thanks to his generous offer, the event will again be hosted by KCMongo at Mongo's Garage, 800 S. Delaware St., Independence, MO.
As we did in our 2023 event, there will be an informal gathering beginning about 5PM on Friday the 13th for early arrivals and anyone that wants to just get together for a little food, meeting up with old friends or introducing new folks before the main event on Saturday.
Much more information and an official flier will be posted in the near future. As with last year, the event is open to all Stovebolters near and far, and we again extend an invite to members of the Genuine Chevy/GMC Truck Club of Kansas City. For now, please post any questions about the event in this thread and save the date on your event calendars. We look forward to another awesome event and hope we will have even more trucks this year! Many more details to come so watch for updates!

Per last conversation with the Roundup Executive Committee - Yes! KCMongo has a tentative design which we will be reviewing when we get together next weekend at the 27 July Genuine Chevy/GMC Truck Club of KC Show-N-Shine event.
More news to be provided on this years "Roundup" after the meeting. Stay tuned.

Just a quick note to confirm there was a Roundup Executive Meeting held at the Genuine Chevy/GMC Truck Club of KC's 51st annual Show-N-Shine event yesterday. Myself, Don (2-Ton) and Steve (KCMongo) were in attendance. Kevin (Shakey61) wasn't able to attend unfortunately, but he told us to run with the planning process. More details and posts coming to begin the "Who's Planning on Attending" and T-Shirt Orders" list threads for the Roundup.
T-shirt design is getting ready for submission to Stovebolt HQ for approval and we will post it as soon as approved, along with prices and ordering process.
Please watch for more details coming soon.

Well here we are less than a month away from the event - yikes!!! There have been a ton of things going on for all of us, but with that being said, I am going to start a couple of separate posts concerning who may be attending and T-shirts. Look for them shortly.

After another day of working at KCMongo's to help prep for this weekends gathering, I figured now might be a good time to add a few tidbits of info for those coming and/or still considering coming:
Check out these links for local Picture map or PDF Map to help you get to KCMongo's place.
Event gathering times:
- Friday's Informal Meet and Greet/Happy Hour : Starts at 5PM Friday the 13th (folks are welcome to show up earlier if you like, but you might get put to work helping with some final setup - LOL!!!)
- Saturday: Arrival/Registration/T-shirt hand-off begins at 9AM Saturday the 14th. 10AM is the official kick off time for the Main Event.
Oh yeah, there will be some goodies form various sources that we will call door prizes, give-away's and what not for everyone that can attend.
Looking forward to seeing everyone that can attend!!!

Just to add to what Dan said, I’ll be grilling up some dogs for Friday night happy hour. Saturday, we will have pulled pork, baked beans, baked potato’s and left over dogs for lunch.
Of course, my wife Vicki will have her made from scratch cookies. She will also have some of her craft sculptors to show off and talk about how they are made. Here are some pictures of some of her past art.

Looks like I’m not going to make it. I’ve got a really painful foot injury and it is almost impossible to walk. I’d still like a shirt though. Let me know how to pay for it and pick it up. This is frustrating because I have the ‘52 almost on the trailer. (Forgot to charge the battery for the winch.)
Chris, No worries my friend. I will reach out via PM later and we can work out the t-shirt thing. Will miss you and the chance to see your truck. Get yourself better and we will have to try for something another time in the future.

Chris include me in your PM. Vicki and I are at the lake right now and I plan on being there next week sometime. Also, latter this fall. Maybe we can meet up for lunch somewhere and get it to you?
