Rocket man, A check of the 1948-51 Shop Manual instructions for your door question doesn't give any other info except bending those tabs for removal and installation. Perhaps there is a trick other Bolters have used, but I'm not aware of one myself.

Well, some of these trim pieces can be very difficult to remove...especially if a prior owner painted by just masking well enough so that paint can seep into the space between the trim and the door or if rust has occurred between the ss trim and the door. If that has happened the trim piece can be almost bonded in place. My advice is just take it slow. If you use too much force nothing good will follow. Good luck. In the 52 there are 3 or 4 tiny screws around the vent window and up on top that hold it in place.

On my '50 there were 4 scews holding tabs from the outside trim in the window seal channel (I think) - one front, one back. and two along the top. In my case one door had the outside trim and one did not and I had removed the window seal channel so it became clearer. The new outside trim piece I received had the tabs/screws in a different location. There are also tabs that slide into opening in the door sheet metal along the bottom.
I don't think if makes a difference but mine were painted rather than chrome.
Are you talking about the top of the door? If so that is not a clip it is just a bulge were the trim is overlapped. The trim is held on by small screws and two tabs on the bottom that fit in slots on the door .the screws are behind the window chanel
Hello, Lost my cab to Shop fire, have a Dynacorn replacement, 1952 model. Looking to buy exterior door window trim. Trim is available however clips not included. I need a little direction on what the clips look like and where to find them. Hopefully .
There are no clips the bottom of the trim has two tabs that fit in the door slot the top if the trim overlaps itself and the trim has a bump to allow the overlap there are 3 or 4 tiny screws two on top and and maybe one behind the vent window .
Man that sucks! Hopefully the shop's insurance paid for your new Dynacorn cab. On the plus side, the doors are already installed and aligned!

The cab was a group effort.. most on the weight born by the shop owner. Doors are Installed, aligned no. Also need the little gutter over the vent window
Rats! I thought the Dynacorn cabs came with the doors installed.
