Since I never planned to buy a trailer to pull, I decided, why not make it into a Holmes Wrecker, to join my other two Holmes units.

Spanky, is that just for show or are you going to hook up the hydraulics? Do you need a wet kit or is the unit self contained like a portapower?

Love the truck. Have you told us about that one before, either way, tell us a little more about it. Do I see a hint of Alpine Green under there???

Thanks for the compliments. John it works off of a electirc motor. The truck is a 1978 Chevrolet Titan 90 SS. The SS stands for Special Series. In 1978 the SS version was the first model to use the larger grille. Standard 78 model trucks still used the smaller grille. In 1979, the larger grille was standard on all trucks. It has a 8V92T Detroit engine, with a Allison automatic transmission. It was originally owned by Taylor & Messick John Deere in Harrington, Del. They had four of these Chevy Titan Tractors in their fleet, all with automatics in them. My truck only has 113k original miles on it.

That's a really great looking setup. Sounds like the rig will also have plenty of power to tow just about any truck. Or also small house.

Looks great Spanky!

Are you coming to the ATHS Show in York, PA in June? You could drive that rig and tow one of the others!
