I am in need of a new top plate for the axle swap in my truck the new springs are different so I need a top plate that would fit a 82 c70(the donor truck) with I believe f070 7klb front axle the spring width is 3in and the spacing center to center of the u-bolt is 4 3/4 in. I am having a hard time finding anything that is short enough in length.

How about simply making a plate- - - -with the proper thickness steel plate and a drill press it should be a pretty easy fabrication job.

part of the problem was the bump stop is a part of this piece too and it was grooved for the U-bolts but looking at it I think I can make something work.
