Paul.
This looks like it'll be some adventure. I like your start already. And glad your wife also has the picture posting down pat. If you haven't heard it enough, we really like pix. The "thousand words" idea .... wink

And now you have the threshold posts: you are a Bolter. thumbs_up

Welcome ...

I hope you plan to restore the truck. It looks pretty complete.

i found my truck while looking on eBay. I did this for a while as something for fun. One evening, a craigslist post popped up about a truck in Colorado. I clicked on it. Three days later, my wife and i were going to Colorado.

We came home with a 1941 Chevy 3/4-ton truck. I got a lot of flack about taking a day off. I was subbing for a kitchen and bath remodeling place. So I quit my job and went solo.

The truck was used on a farm and had about five acres of dirt in it. It didn't have a wiring harness, so it didn't run.

I didn't want to be a 42 miles-per-hour guy, so the 216 had to go. I wasn't sure what to put in it until my logger friend called. He told me of some 4BT Cummins motors for sale. He needed an answer right then. So, I ended up with one that came with a Borg Warner 4 speed trans as well. I had the engine freshened up and it fits well.

I will add more next time.
