I had the speedo rebuilt and had to replace the big chrome bezel. The lens was attached using some sort of black adhesive in the 4 slots provided in the bezel. That adhesive is no longer functional. And suggestions or recommendations as to what to use to hold the lens in now? Thanks in advance!

Probably single side or double side sticky. Look at used 55-59 cluster parts for sale on Ebay, you will see the old worn out "tape" or it's witness marks on the mask plate. The lens is more or less retained by assembly pressure. I think one sided sticky would be best."Weather strip"/ door seal/ HVAC stuff. Maybe something like this THIS | | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 5,139 Authorized Pest | Authorized Pest Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 5,139 | We have a Tech Tip in the Back Room on Refurbishing Dash Gauge Cluster with some good step-by-step instructions and images. Part of that Tip: 8> I needed and ordered a new gauge cluster glass face, bezel, and rubber gasket. (If they are not needed, at least order a new rubber gasket as it will make it so much easier to place back together, as the gasket "gives" when you are replacing the bezel. The old gasket is hard and the possibility of the glass being broken increases.)

Thanks to you both!
