1&2 I think are for the Freshair heater hoses.
3. Is where the heater motor mounts through the firewall.
4. Is I think where a Ranco water heater valve .
Hopefully an expert will be by to confirm.
I don't have any of them on my truck.
See attached picture for reference. Not Mine.

Todd is correct.
Here's a link to the installation instructions for the Fresh Air Heater.

Interesting that you have heater hoses elsewhere.
Is that firewall used in multiple applications?

I have a small 6 volt Arvin heater. Works great. Mounted in same area, uses the same hose access.

Anyone know what size the fittings/hose barb are that connect the two hoses to the water pump. The two parts thread on and have a nipple end. Trying t o find the right size but dont know where to order that. It's a 216 engine, 1949 3600. Basically Figure 100, point A and C on the diagram. https://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/accessories/1951am/51aim38.htm

I would bet that the hose barbs on the engine are 5/8" hose. Some vehicles use 5/8" for one hose and 3/4" for the other, our older trucks are probably the same size for each hose.

Yes. My 1950 uses the same hoses on both nipples. 5/8"

Both of the original nipples on my 216 are 5/8". You can get replacements HERE and possibly at your FLAPS.
