I purchased this truck bed off an auction and am trying to figure out what year this GMC short box bed is??? Any help appreciated it. Thanks.

Just my thought, but if the spare tire carrier is an indicator, that side swing unit would make this a 1951-53 bed and rear frame section. The 1947-50 under bed spare tire carriers had the center slide out support instead of the one that unhooked and swung out and down like is in your pictures.
