Does anyone know if someone makes an exhaust kit for my 1958 GMC 3/4 ton longed with a 336V8? It’s a NAPCO truck which doesn’t make any difference regarding the exhaust. I’m just trying to avoid loading the chassis on a trailer and hauling to the exhaust shop. I’m restoring the truck back to original so doing a single exhaust…not dual. Anyway, looking for ideas or good exhaust Co. I’ve checked Waldron’s but I don’t think they make an exhaust system for my truck. ‘58-59’s were odd years. They make a kit for 55-57 with Pontiac V8 but not sure if it would fit my ‘58. Any help would be appreciated.

You might try Classic Exhaust Systems but I doubt anybody is going to have a bolt on kit for a '58 GMC truck.
Unless you have the original exhaust pieces to take to an exhaust shop to use as templates, you're probably going to have to load up the chassis and haul it to the shop.

I think I would get the 55-57 kit from Waldrons, the chassis should be the same from 55-59, if you have to modify the front pipe to fit the 336 you at least have a good start and the rest of the pipes should fit in the stock location.

Exhaust manifolds are different (?? maybe only at the manifold to head interface as different heads were used 57 to 58 ??) between 57 and 58, but I agree with Buckshot that the 57 pipes are probably as close as you are going to find (assuming Napco doesn't get in the way).
It isn't to late to do this if the engine is still accessible.

I have 1957 Chevy NAPCO. I installed a Chevy 348. Obviously no exhaust is available for this set-up. I had a difficult time fabricating my own exhaust. For my skill level it was much harder than I thought. I was not at all satisfied with my efforts.
What I did: - Made the truck drivable, headers were installed on the engine - Drove it carefully and slowly to the exhaust fabricator shop - Had them make dual exhausts
Worked fine, they are so much better equipped to make the exhaust. At the time cost the same or less than Waldron kits that I would have had to modify any way. don
I agree with Donz. Unless you can get a complete, correct system front to back, how are you going to modify it without a pipe bender? Cut and weld?
Spending $500 or more at Waldron's for a system that has to be modified doesn't make sense to me.

I called Waldrons for info about my '57 LCF, they couldn't offer anything. I bought elbows and mufflers from Summit Racing, bought straight pipe locally, measure cut, test fit, weld. Less than $300 for dual system from manifolds back, positioned the mufflers under the grain box and turned out the tail pipes out from under the frame rails.

My friend's muffler shop cards and books only goes back to 1960, unfortunately. A decent muffler shop should have no problem making a system without a card, though.
