Hello all,
Looking for replacement rubber bumpers that slide into the track on the inner windshield trim molding for my 1950 GMC 100.
I can find the metal clips but not the rubber pieces.
Does anybody make these or have any good ones you are willing to part with?
Are they the same shape as the clips? If so, I may be able to use the clip as a pattern and cut some out of rubber.
Thanks,
Ron

If you mean the two rubber pieces that go alongside each of the defrost ports, I plan on cutting those from some foam (fairly soft). All they do is block the air from running down the trim instead of onto the windshield. They would be similar in shape to the metal clips, basically triangular in section.
Where did you find replacement clips? I have some that are pretty much rusted away, but plan on bending some out of steel strapping material.

Kevin,
Thanks for the info. Yes, there are 2 foam pieces on each side of the molding 2 on driver side and 2 on passenger side. I figured they something to do with the defrost vents.
There are several places that sell the clips.

Thanks for the links. Although for a minimum of $25 plus shipping big_eek, I think I'll go with the bend my own clip route.
