Looking at 2200 lb. cap. rotisserie and want to be sure it can handle it or get a 3000 lb cap. one. thanks | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 Bubba - Curmudgeon | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 | What year?
Presumably, you want an estimate of the weight of the "cab portion" of the "body"

Maybe another three sheets to do everything as part of the regular cab? There's 240. Add another 100 for the plywood floor. I can see it, and agree with Tim, less than 2000 lbs. | | | | Joined: May 2015 Posts: 9,830 Housekeeping (Moderator) Making a Stovebolt Bed & Paint and Body Shop Forums | Housekeeping (Moderator) Making a Stovebolt Bed & Paint and Body Shop Forums Joined: May 2015 Posts: 9,830 | What Mark said, AND the skin isn't even as thick as 16 gauge (it's 19 gauge - under 60 lb,) so would weight a bit less. But that's a good estimate. Here's another take for weight of a conventional cab 1959 cab weight. 650 lb. Guessing the 'burb at twice that comes out to 1300 lb.
