Just a test fit for an antenna from a VW Bug. It was left over from a bug I restored. It fits the contour of the truck nicely. It is just taped for now.
I haven't decided on a location yet. I also have not decided on the type of mirrors either. It was a junkyard find so it was missing a lot of parts. The original mirror hole was filled so I still look at other trucks for ideas.
My right front fender has a hole for an antenna, and ot looks like it was punched this way from the factory….did the factory ever punch holes in the fender for the antenna?

Not that I know of, I will check to find out. It had a big hole behind the driver's side for a CB whip antenna. I just went out and looked, there is no hole in the fender. My truck may not have had a radio. There is a radio that is above the windshield. It is an aftermarket that appears to be from the 70's that is in a homemade shelf. The antenna was laying on top of the dash. It also had a V8 mounted in it that was a cluster. The previous owner moved the steering box over 2 inches so the exhaust manifold would fit. The antenna was mounted on the windshield pillar on the VW and it appears it would fit there on the truck also.
