The original AM radio in my '57 3100 still works. And I believe I actually get classic radio interference from the generator. The lead on the condenser is broken and I want to replace it. But all of the mounts for the condensers I have come across don't have a large enough hole for the generator screw. Drilling the mount to accept the screw would leave minimal, if any, metal on the mount. Anyone know of a source and maybe a part 3 for a condenser that would work? Not much to listen to on the AM dial, but it is still fun to try! Thanks!
I found a couple possible GM part numbers for slightly older noise suppression condensers, on generator ARMATURE terminal: 1911095 0.3 mfd or 1910147 0.5 mfd ... Maybe those might help you find an equivalent online -s
Thanks for the BM part numbers. They did get me to Delco, so I may call them. And here is a pic of the condenser. The wide opening in the bracket allows it to be attached to the generator.
A piece of the perforated metal "plumber's tape" that's used to hang sewer pipes, wrapped around any condenser will allow you to install it on the generator. That stuff usually has 1/4" holes in it. Just cut the original bracket off. Jerry

Go on eBay and search for FM converter. You might chuckle that you find a few. Install the fm converter, adjust and set it up, and listen to fm radio, skip the condenser.
