When temp lever is all the way down does produce cooler air or maximum heat, I looked in the shop manual but couldn't find anything about it . This on my 56 chevy 6100 , thanks Mark.

Down is more heat, assuming everything is working properly.
The control arms have a tendency to break off. Make sure your cables move freely.

Thanks V , I'm glad to hear down is heat I spent the day freeing up the cables except that one. It looks to be a struggle and since it's winter it can stay where its at.
