Hi bolters, I am working on rebuilding my 54 gmc speedometer. I have found a few discussions on the topic here but did not find anything to answer my question. On my gauge there are windows on the side covered in greenish material which are used to light up the gauge at night. The lights on my dash are in the panels and all of the gauges have similar windows. The ones in my guage are broken and I am wondering if anyone knows of a material that would work to replace them? Has anyone replaced these before and if so what have you used?

Thanks, I will give it a try. The original material is thicker about .015" and seemed ridged, but that could be that it has just baked and froze over the last 70 years.
