There’s probably something in this forum about this, but it takes forever to search through the search results. Are any of the new door hinges any good? The posts I found are old, so maybe newer repro hinges are better? Do any suppliers have new hinges that are decent? Or are you aware of anyone that will rebuild old hinges properly?
I have not used new hinges but hear they are not that good someone that experienced this May correct me .I have rebuild my hinges and they are not to hard and parts were available even the plates can be purchased or what I did is made one from the tech tip .
The reproduction hinges I bought had to be bent, adjusted, twisted, etc...multiple times. And they'll never be as good as original. You'll need some specialty tools to do this and some experience working with thick metal.

I know of one guy in Oregon that rebuilds them. I personally haven't tried him but he seems pretty knowledgeable about rebuilding parts on these old trucks. He's connected with the Filling Station in Lebanon, Oregon. Name of Jerry Kassis. He also does videos on YouTube showing how to rebuild them if you want to try it yourself. Thanks guys. I was able to drive the pins out fairly easily so I’ll go with the pin and bushing method. I have no drill press but am sure a local machine shop will drill the arms for bushings.
If I remember correctly the kit comes with a little bigger pin so you have two choices if original not that worn you can just replace the pin or use the bushings if worn past the size of the new pin .I just put new pins .
Thanks all. Jerry Kassis has agreed to rebuild them for me. After the major pain to remove doors and replace the seals and window channels, I don’t want to have any hinge problems!
