I have embarked on this new adventure with a 1956 GMC milk truck. It’s a Canadian built 9431 cowl forward truck with a Grumman box built for Dairyland in the Vancouver, B.C. area.
Spending some time surfing the forums here for knowledge and figured I should say hi.
Welcome to the Bolt Warsfworld! Your "Milktruck" looks like a very cool project! Looking forward to seeing and hearing more about the truck in the future.

Yes, what a good-looking project there. In your roaming around our virtual garage, you might find using THE SEARCH link from the menu bar above, using "milk truck" only, you'll find a few threads specifically for those. Plenty to find all around the place. I see you already found the Swap Meet!

Welcome to the ‘Bolt! That is a unique and awesome looking truck! We would love it, if you could tell us a bit about your truck, its history, your goals and what (if any) you have already accomplished on restoring your truck.
And of course we ‘Bolters love pictures, so please post some more. Again, welcome!

Welcome to the 'Bolt. That truck looks pretty unique. It would sure be interesting to see how it looked in it's prime, with that paint job. If your plan is to restore it to it's former glory, it would be quite the historical piece.

1962 C10 with a 235 6cyl -- all of the drive train seems to be original. Some of this story is in the Side Lot Some people like a new truck. I liked the old ones.
I wonder if those front corner windows are the same as used on Advance Design 5 window pickups? Seems logical.
Are you going to paint it in it's original dairy colors?
I assume it's heavily insulated in the cargo area like a walk-in freezer. Will you leave that or remove it for wight concerns and use the truck as a regular hauler?

Warfsworld one more welcome!! That reminds me of my childhood in New Orleans when they delivered milk to our house and you had to put the empties outside on the porch. Do a little every day and you will be finished before you know it.
Please don't tell my wife how much this thing cost!
Welcome aboard Warfsworld, that’s a cool looking truck. I dont remember the old Dairyland delivery trucks painted that way, but the last one I saw was probably in 1970. What you have is a great old piece of BC history. Keep us posted on progress.
