Howdy folks. I have missed ya'll. I have been fighting luekemia for around 9 years now and last year was a battle royale. Feeling much better now and my wife is convinced that working on my "49" is good therapy.

Last year I started a thread about dash decals for my 49 1-ton with two speed axles. Some of you were going to make some. Did that ever happen? Where can I find them?

I pulled my sending unit yesterday while removing the tank for cleaning\replacement, and discovered that the reason my fuel guage wasn't working was that the float was gone. Any ideas on where I can find a replacement sending unit? Does anyone offer remanufactured sending units?

thanks and it is great to be back.

If you think your sending unit is good I would just get a new float. Or most parts vendors have replacement units for sale. You need to get a hold of "KCMongo" for the decal your needing.

Bill, with the sender out of the truck try puting an ohm meter on it. You should get 30 ohms when it's full and 0 ohms when it's empty. If that works out, and there is no corrosion on it, I'd say find another float.

Bill:

First and foremost, I am glad to hear you are back in the saddle. I hope you have a speedy recovery. I can't help you with the decals or float, however I wanted to wish you well.

Tony
