Hey I just bought a new tank for behind the seat of my '52 3600 and was hoping for some guidance on the right way to run fuel lines from one place to another. I linked the tank in this post. Thanks
You can purchase new prebent lines for not a lot of money from just about anybody - NPD, Classic Industries, Classic Chevy Trucks, Jim Carter, etc
They run along the passenger frame rail. There should be a couple clips there.
That's if it's the same as a 1950.

Just a question??? Do you not have any of the original fuel line pieces? The tank you ordered is set up for the standard hardware and line to run from the bottom of the tank threaded port along the passenger frame rail to the fuel pump on your 6 cylinder engine (identified in previous posts). All of those pieces are reproduced and can be purchased from vendors such as Jim Carter Truck Parts.
EDIT: Otto beat me to the post button - lol!

You'll also need the petcock fitting for the bottom of the tank unless you're re-using your old one. What about your tank straps and cradles?
You'll be happy with the Spectra tank. It's made in Canada and is better quality than the original, in my opinion.

The lower line is the brake line. Rubber hoses for the filler neck and vent are also available from the usual suspects - sometimes as a kit wit h filler neck grommet, sending unit, etc.
If you need a sending unit, get the one Jon G talkes about on this forum. It's the only one that is actually accurate and it's only $30.

Thanks for the help, I have everything planned out, except is there something I can put on the threads to keep fuel from leaking through? There was plumbers tape previously, but I'd like to know if anyone has a better method

It's a seller on ebay from Taiwan or someplace and I can't remember the name at the moment.
I wonder if it would be helpful to have a permanent list posted somewhere with known good parts such as this that aren't available from the usual suspects?
Send Jon a PM for the name of the seller.

I upgraded my lines from tank to mechanical fuel pump with this braided 15ft 8an fittings. 2 kits did 3 trucks. 3/8. Thats 2 panel trucks with rear mounted frame tanks and one tank relocation to under bed. The 2 with 327`s ,I kept the 8an line fittings from pump to carb. and thats just because both engines had HP measured at the line between using 5/16ths or 3/8 ID to carb.

Great, thanks I just ordered one. The screws from my old sending unit do not fit this new tank though, would anyone happen to know what size screws i need? If not I'll just have to try a few at the hardware store
