I noticed that connecting rods # 3 and #4 have larger diameter upper oil passages (at the base of the I-beam) than the others; 7/32" vs. 5/32". Does anyone know why this might be?

Maybe it's just a safety factor to make sure the hole in the rod bearing lines up. Jerry
