I have failed to figure this one out . Can someone breakdown the casting numbers ? Year, month, etc..? The guy I got it from said it came out of a 1954 Chevy Truck, however it does have the weep hole at 6 o'clock so that kind of upsets the apple cart on it being a 1954.

That casting number is higher than either of the 4-speeds listed in the 29-57 Parts manual. So I'm guessing it came out of a later than '57 truck. Here's a screen shot of the listing.
I'll bet that Dan can track it down. He's the resident parts tracker guy. I'll send him a flag.
[on edit]Found it in the 29-54 Parts Manual. Looks like it is a 53-54 tranny. See the second pic.

1929-51 Parts Book, Group 4.103, Transmission Case, casting number 591907 = 1951 4-speed. Note this is where my book ends (1951), but per Kevin's attachment above it look like this casting number was used for a few more years.
Your date code E 7 1 = May 7 1951
