Mike, The work looks great. Same quality and attention to detail I saw in your recent post about the anodized engine bay parts! Might have to turn down the lights though as that chrome is just really bright - lol.

I'm thinking about putting a dowell through the steel part under the spacer I made. In the position they are in it backs up to the axle but I don't think I like that. I need to get it in the truck to figure it out. Good eye I wondered if anyone would pick that up.
Everything is so shiny it is actually hard to see! 😎

That's why I had the red anodizing done. I was going to have the caliper brackets anodized also for contrast. I know the brackets I made out of 2 different Wilwood brackets are 6061 aluminum. There was 2 problems with that idea. First there are steel studs in them for the calipers to mount on that can't be removed. The anodizer said it would ruin the part and their tank if any of it came in contact during the process. The second problem was that when I made these I had an aerospace welder weld and xray them. We lost him to Covid and I'm not sure what alloy he used for filler rod. Evidently every alloy has to be treated differently to get the same color so I opted out.
It is definitely unique, a truly custom setup. Regardless of of the finish you end up with the whole chassis is going to look great

It took about 3 years to get to this point. The spindles needed Heidts pins in them for the hubs and Frankland put a Gleason Torsen diff in the rear when they built it for me. It took forever to find someone to remove the welded Ford pins and weld in the Heidts pins. Pete and Jakes sent me unplated early Ford spindles and when I got them done they chromed them.
