I am looking for motor mounts for my 230.(1963} I bought a pair from Advanced Auto everything lines up, however the bolt that joins the mount to the frame is much smaller. I went back to the store and they offered no option other than returning them. do you know of a direct replacement. I can use a smaller bolt but being there are only two bolts I kind of think bigger is better

Thanks

Can you drill out the bolt holes in the motor mount to allow use of the larger bolts? Pictures are always helpful, so I'm guessing here.

From the pictures, it doesn't look a lot smaller?

What size bolts are each of them? The new one has a larger isolator, which would be nice.

Here's one from Summit with a different part number...maybe call them to confirm the bolt size.

That should be 7/16 bolt size. Are you sure 7/16 won't screw in there? It may have some loose rubber or dirt in the hole. Do you have a 7/16 tap or thread chaser?
You have to be careful using a 3/8 bolt in a 7/16 hole. It feels like it goes in nicely but actually does not fit good & will pull out under stress.
A time saving tip on those is to drill the hole in the frame bracket oversize so it makes it easier to get the bolt started. The thick washer it uses will take up the extra clearance.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

7/16 is larger than 3/8

Did you type those backwards? Or is the thread larger and the hole jusst looks smaller from the rubber impinging on it?
