BTW, what type of oil and quantity is used?


54 Chevy 3100 Deluxe 3 speed on column. Keeping original as possible but changed to 12 volt system.

I think the manual specifies 30 weight but any motor oil will do. It's just there to hold the solid debris that falls out of the air stream when the stream abruptly changes direction.

Fill it up to the line on the inside of the oil bath base.
