Can these be original or a common add on back in the day?
Both my 58-59 panel trucks had the same arm rest with ashtray, mounted
on the drivers door. One is in good shape but the other is dry rotted
pretty bad. Can this be fixed?
I don`t smoke but for an armrest, it is better that what offered as far as distance
from the door.

If you zoom in closely to the center of the plastic base pic (inside the diamond area) there is what looks like a "pentastar" (Mopar) design in the plastic casting.

The "1260B" cast into the base mostly likely may indicate time period of manufacture (???). So WAG - maybe from a 1960-61 Mopar product??? headscratch

Definitely not original to your trucks that I can find (see screenshot of a reproduction arm rest for 1955-59 for an idea of what the originals looked like).

A little more searching shows these to look very similar to what you have.

Thats them.. funny they ended up on a chevy. Good reason for detailed pics!!!
The original arm rest, at least for my big arm is not
far enough away from the door to do any good.
Thanks Dan!!!

Just keep your hands on the wheel and you will not need an armrest.Just a fun reminder.

That`s true. Just cruising. Got to have an old fishing lure hanging on the rear view
for good luck. Thats an early Jitterbug. My other truck has a Paw-Paw in it.
