Should I fog the engine???

Valve covers are on still. Intake is off, as are the accessory drive belts; plugs are still in. I’ve taped all the ports closed so debris won’t get in.

Probably will be too cold to work on it until March/April so 5 or 6 months in the garage.

It’s a Canadian winter and I don’t want to ruin my engine with condensation.

Who’s got tips for winter storage in my un heated garage?

I would recommend spraying some fogging oil in the spark plug holes and putting the spark plugs back in to seal it, then pop the valve covers and loosen the rockers to let all of the valves close and seal the cylinders.

If it is just going to be a couple months, that probably isn't necessary, but if spring comes and life gets in the way and suddenly it has been sitting for a couple years, then you will be glad you did a bit more work putting it away.
